I have been flying kites most of my life. I can recall staying out in the backyard in San Diego way past bedtime and tying the paper eddy or boxkite to the fence when I was forced to go inside. Sometimes Id find them still in the air in the morning.

I got hooked on dual-lines and quads by the mid 1990s. Id travel to the West Coast each fall and hit a few festivals and fly with the San Diego Kite Club folks every year.

I started sewing kites in 2000 and it just grows and grows. Im gratified to be teaching my second class at Fort Worden in 2008.
